چکیده
A disubstituted quaterpyridine based cobalt complex non-covalently tethered to multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) substrate, forming a hybrid catalyst, Co-qpyCOOH/CNT, catalyzed the conversion of CO2 CO under aqueous conditions. At an optimal and uniform loading, it exhibited remarkable catalytic activity, near-exclusive selectivity, high stability towards formation CO. mere cathodic potential ?0.65 V versus RHE (? = 0.54 V), achieved partial current density ?6.7 mA/cm2 F.E.CO 100%. In addition, with 20 h stable operation, hydrogen evolution remained practically undetected. Its structure due noncovalent immobilization on MWCNT imparted intrinsic activity much-needed in performance whereas ?COOH groups may stabilize intermediates by acting as H-bond donors, promoting activity. Tethering conductive solid substrate tuning second sphere coordination played important role its achieve desired reduction product selectivity

Catalytic CO2-to-CO conversion in water by covalently functionalized carbon nanotubes with a molecular iron catalyst.
The covalent grafting of an Fe porphyrin on carbon nanotubes led to efficient electroreduction of CO2 into CO in water (pH 7.3). CO was obtained with high selectivity and turnover at 0.5 V overpotential. The grafting strategy may be further extended to various conductive and semi-conductive surfaces.

boron nitride semiconducting zigzag swcnt, $b_{cb}$$n_{cn}$$c_{1-cb-cn}$, as a potential candidate for making nanoelectronic devices was examined. in contrast to the previous dft calculations, wherein just one boron and nitrogen doping configuration have been considered, here for the average over all possible configurations, density of states (dos) was calculated in terms of boron and nitrogen ...

We performed vapor phase filling of SWCNTs with various kinds of fullerenes. C60, C70, C enriched C60 and mixtures of these were used. The resulting peapods as well as the DWCNTs obtained by annealing were characterized with multi frequency Raman spectroscopy. Simultaneous filling with C60 and C70 was found to take place with the same efficiency. When using the C enriched C60 for DWCNT synthesi...
متن کاملLow-temperature growth of carbon nanotubes by selective heating of catalyst
Currently, high crystalline quality materials such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are produced only at a temperature in an excess of 500 C. This paper reports on low-temperature synthesis of CNTs by selective heating of catalytic particles using two complementary mechanisms: enhanced exothermic catalytic reactions and inductive heating by radio frequency electromagnetic fields.

We demonstrate the efficient chemical vapor deposition synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes where the activity and lifetime of the catalysts are enhanced by water. Water-stimulated enhanced catalytic activity results in massive growth of superdense and vertically aligned nanotube forests with heights up to 2.5 millimeters that can be easily separated from the catalysts, providing nanotub...
